Our Blessing Named Jesse

Jesse Quintin was born September 26, 2007, the much-loved fifth son of Kristan and Chad. He was diagnosed shortly after birth with AV Canal Heart Defect and Down Syndrome. Thursday, January 10th, Jesse had surgery to repair his heart defect. Friday morning he suddenly went into cardiac arrest. After 45 min. of CPR he was attached to life support. By God's healing hand his heart started to beat again and he came off life support on January 13. We created this blog to keep everyone updated.

Pictures

Here are a few pictures of Jesse and the boys over the last week. He seems to be growing. His weight is basically the same as when we first came to the hospital - now 12.2 pounds. He ate well through the night and this morning!!!

  3. Awesome pictures Kristan! It's so good to see those pictures of Jesse and his brothers, especially with our recent challenges.

Right before AnnaSophia went back into the hospital, we listened to your testimony. You and your family are incredible and are OUR inspiration. We feel so honored to have met you.

    Blessings,
    Steve and Mary

  4. Kristan,
Thank you for all your work keeping the blog updated. The pictures of the boys and you with Jesse are so precious! Even more I am glad that we were able to visit Wednesday and see Jesse for ourselves and hear his precious cooing and see his beautiful smile and watch him roll over! It helps so much to remember what a special little person he is!
I talked to my cousin, Melody today. Her girls are praying for Jesse at night before they go to bed. She said they pray for "that baby that is sick, dear God, he needs something so much so please give it to him so he can get better."
We, too are praying that Jesse will soon be able to come home.
    Love,
    Holly

  5. Kristan it was so nice to talk to you last night. Our little visits are always nice and always seem to brighten my day. I am so happy that things continue to go as anticipated and I pray that encouraging news continues to come your way. Sometimes as I set and pray for you guys or just think about you and Jesse I find myself wondering why. I am sure you do too. I know that God has a plan for everything and that everything happens for a reason. However sometimes waiting for that purpose to reveal its self requires a lot of patience. I have come to understand that one thing that has come from this is my appreciation for you and our friendship. We had slipped a bit over the past year or so and now I know that cannot happen again. You truly are one of my dearest friends and I need to make you, our friendship, and our walk as sisters in Christ a priority. God places people in our life for a reason and you were placed in mine several years ago because He had a plan. I thank Him for all of the people He places in my life and feel so blessed that one of those special people was you.

I felt called to share this with you. Wasn’t sure if this was the right place, but oh well. You know me I have to follow that little voice that tells me what to do. I will be in touch soon. All my love ♥♥ Amee
