Our Blessing Named Jesse

Jesse Quintin was born September 26, 2007, the much-loved fifth son of Kristan and Chad. He was diagnosed shortly after birth with AV Canal Heart Defect and Down Syndrome. Thursday, January 10th, Jesse had surgery to repair his heart defect. Friday morning he suddenly went into cardiac arrest. After 45 min. of CPR he was attached to life support. By God's healing hand his heart started to beat again and he came off life support on January 13. We created this blog to keep everyone updated.

Jesse following surgery

Jesse has come out of surgery and is starting to respond. He opened his eyes when he heard Kristan's voice and has been responsive to touch. He is still heavily sedated and, as you can see, is hooked up to all kinds of monitors and drains. He is still on a respirator which is breathing for him. He will be gradually weaned off the respirator and the sedation over the next day or so.

  3. We do Praise God for His healing touch on Jesse. What a precious gift from God Jesse is. Our prayers will continue as Jesse recovers. His life is a testimony of God's love. In my time with the Lord yesterday, I too, was reading Psalm 28. What a comfort. God is so good and His love is all that we need. We love you all. Jan and Bill

  4. We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father for the gift of being parents. What a precious gift Jesse is and we are so grateful that God directed you to a Christian doctor and to see first hand the power of prayer. Thank you Lord for the wonderul results despite the obstacles. Yet nothing is impossible with God and for that we are so grateful. You have been a wonderful example through the years of trusting God with your children for all to see. I know God is using you and Chad and will continue to do so. We will continue to pray for Jesse as he heals and for continued wisdom for the doctors. Love Julie and Craig
